Meanwhile, the weakest Sensex performers included Infosys Ltd, which edged down 0.48% to 1,168.80, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., which lost 0.40% to settle at 2,308.05, and Nestle India Ltd, which slipped 0.26% to 1,419.50 at the close.

Market breadth remained positive, with advancing shares outnumbering decliners by 1,733 to 815 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while 51 stocks remained unchanged. On the National Stock Exchange, 2,563 stocks advanced, 1,482 declined, and 200 ended flat.
