TMC MLA Satyajit Biswas shot dead in West Bengal’s Nadia district

Trinamool Congress MLA Biswas, who belong to Krishnaganj in the district of Nadia was attending a programme on the occasion of Saraswati Puja in the Phulbari locality when he was shot from a point-black range.

Satyajit Biswas, a TMC MLA from Krishnaganj constituency has been shot dead by some unidentifed miscreants at a Saraswati Puja inauguration on Saturday, February 9, 2019. According to reports in leading media websites, the police are now investigating the matter and huge police force have been deployed in that particular area. Commenting on the incident, TMC has accused BJP fro the murder however, reports say that the saffron party has denied any involvement in the incident.

Reports say that the Trinamool Congress MLA Biswas, who belong to Krishnaganj in the district of Nadia was attending a programme on the occasion of Saraswati Puja in the Phulbari locality when he was shot from a point-black range. Meanwhile, TMC District President Gouri Sankar Dutta lashed out that it is the BJP, who planned Satyajit’s murder.

He further said that he along with Minister Ratna Ghosh and Styajit, who was like a son to him were invited to the puja programme. Dutta also said that Satyajit was involved with Matua Sangha for which BJP couldn’t get the votes of Matua voters. He said the party will not let his death go in vain. On the other hand, BJP has denied all allegations and has demanded a CBI’s intervention into the case.
