Kevin Mayer Quits As TikTok CEO

One of the biggest entertainment company TikTok, today is facing problems from everywhere around. It got already banned from a country which played a humongous role in increasing their popularity and number of app users. And some of the other countries are on the verge of banning them. This, however, brings a spark to another problem where it’s CEO Kevin Mayer is quitting his post.

According to TikTok spokesperson, ‘they appreciate the political dynamics of the last few months have significantly changed what would be Kevin’s role in future’. According to some sources Mayer announced his departure via closed e-mail. And by the time his post will be fill by TikTok’s General manager Vannesa Pappas.
Some of the facts and incidents can be seen in Mayer’s letter, he wrote,’In the recent weeks, political changes take place sharply and he does exactly according to the fulfilment of the company’.

Despite this brutal time the company TikTok is facing pressure from Trump Government. As per Trump’s demand, he wants an American company to purchase TikTok’s US business — TikTok is a global company considering a complicated deal — or the app would be banned in the US entirely. A front runner in the ongoing sales talks is leading by Microsoft, but companies from Oracle to Netflix have reportedly also taken meetings with Chinese parent company ByteDance.

In counter, TikTok filed a lawsuit against Trump administration for banning transactions with ByteDance. TikTok lawsuit consists accusation on Trump administration by fiking the particular statement that “They do not take suing the government lightly, however, they feel that they have no choice but to take action in order to protect rights of the company, along with the rights of their community and employees.”

The tenure of Mayer is as follows he joined TikTok in May, and now leaving his position as head of direct-to-consumer content at Disney where he oversaw the launch of Disney Plus. Mayer left not long after Disney named Bob Chapek the company’s new CEO following Bob Iger’s move to executive chairman. A longtime frontrunner for the CEO position was leading by Mayer only
