In yet another blow to the entertainment industry, Bhojpuri actress Anupama Pathak was found hanging in her rented apartment in North Mumbai’s Dahisar suburb. A day before her suicide, she posted a 10 minutes long video on Facebook sharing her feelings in Hindi and revealed that she has been cheated and is not in a position to trust anyone and has no friends who can be of any help.
A suicide note was found which states, ”I have given my two wheeler to Manish Jha (alleged name) but he refused to return the same”. Apart from this, the actress had invested Rs 10,000 in a private company named Wisdom Producer in Malad, and she was not getting her money even after it’s maturity date in December, 2019. A complaint has been registered and police have started the investigation into her death.

Anupama, 40, was a resident of Purena district from Bihar and had moved to Mumbai and worked in a few television serials and Bhojpuri movies. On August 6th, Sameer Sharma, who was best known for his roles in the popular serial Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke was found hanging in his apartment in Malad.
Before this, prominent actor Sushant Singh Rajput died and was found hanging in his suburban apartment in Bandra on June 14. Beside this, Disha Salian, manager of Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide by jumping from a high rise building on June 9. Manmeet Singh Grewal, T.V actor was also found hanging on May 15 at his Mumbai Home.
