The video song themed on the party’s election campaign around Himanta Biswa Sarma meant here comes Himanta bringing the news of hope. The video song which portrays Sarma as ‘super mama’ has stirred speculations on whether incumbent CM Sarbananda Sonowal’s would retain his position in the party as the Chief Ministerial candidate.
CM Sonowal, who is all set to contest the upcoming elections from his constituency Majuli seems to be eying to retain his seat as the Assam’s Chief Minister for a second term. Sarma will also contest in the Assembly polls this year from the Jalukbari constituency.
According to his social media popularity, Sarma is not just a politician for the public, who calls him ‘mama.’ Many people in Assam are fond of Himanta Biswa Sarma not because of his political influence but for the kind of work he has done for the society at large.
