Assam: GAFF 2025 To Launch On February 7, Featuring 200 Asian Films

The highly anticipated Guwahati Asian Film Festival (GAFF) 2025 will debut from February 7 to 9, 2025, at the iconic Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio in Guwahati, Assam. This new festival aims to celebrate and promote Asian cinema, showcasing over 200 films from countries such as Iran, Nepal, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, and more. It promises to be an exciting platform for filmmakers and cinephiles alike.

Opening And Closing Films

GAFF 2025 will open with the Iranian film In the Arms of the Tree, directed by Babak Khajehpasha. This thought-provoking film sets the tone for the inaugural festival. The closing film, My Melbourne, will be a collaborative work by renowned directors Imtiaz Ali, Rima Das, Onir, and Kabir Khan.
