Google And Andhra Pradesh Collab For AI Development In Visakhapatnam

Andhra Pradesh and Google have joined hands for a major artificial intelligence (AI) project in Visakhapatnam. The project aims to turn the city into a key tech and AI hub. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced the new initiative. The CM also revealed that an MoU had been signed to drive significant development in the city.

Naidu explained that this partnership came after IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s recent visit to the Google campus in the United States. He made a request that led to the collaboration. Following a survey of Visakhapatnam, Google expressed confidence in the city’s potential as a strategic location for technology investments.

After meeting a Google delegation at the secretariat, the Chief Minister said he discussed various potential areas for a successful collaboration. The CM also exuded confidence that collaborations with global technology leaders such as Google will help with the empowerment of the southern state.

Ultimate Transformation Of Andhra Pradesh With Google

After proposing Vizag as a prospective location. “If big firms like Google come to Visakhapatnam under strategic investment, that is a game changer,” he said, adding that data centers, AI, machine learning (ML), and deep tech, along with internet sea cables will transform the coastal city into a service hub for the globe.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Google’s involvement will be a game changer for Visakhapatnam.  This collaboration will help in transforming it into a global service center with a focus on AI. Not just AI it also involves machine learning, data centers, and internet infrastructure. Naidu noted that this partnership will not only boost investment in the city but also create job opportunities and attract several major tech companies.

The Tech Ecosystem Has Evolved Andra Pradesh

In a meeting with a Google delegation led by Vice President Bikash Koley, Naidu emphasized that Andhra Pradesh’s business-friendly policies and growing tech ecosystem make it an ideal partner for global companies. He expressed optimism about the potential of AI and deep tech projects to make Visakhapatnam a hub for international services and innovation.

After proposing Vizag as a prospective location. Google executives came to Andhra Pradesh’s largest city for a firsthand survey and were impressed. According to the CM, Andhra Pradesh’s progressive industrial policies have created a business-friendly ecosystem, attracting investors and paving the way for employment opportunities.

Moreover recalling that the state recently signed an agreement with the US-headquartered company Google, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh is looking forward to working together with it to bring these initiatives to fruition.
