Czech Republic: Killing more than 100 and others injured, a tornado swept through several villages in the Czech Republic On Thursday night.
Winds of at least 219km/h (136 mph) blew the roofs off buildings in the south-eastern Breclav and Hodonin districts. The wild storm uprooted trees and overturned cars.
The worst-hit areas looked like a war zone.
In one video, an apocalyptic landscape can be seen. Cars can be seen dumped like toys on the debris of steel. Planks of wood have been sprinkled on the ground like matchsticks.
A dozen of people were rushed to the hospital by medical services. Of them, three died. Czech media later said that the number of fatalities had gone up to four, Michaela Bothová, a spokeswoman for the South Moravian rescue service, told Czech TV.

South Moravia regional governor Jan Grolich said that the condition so deteriorates that it appears they’re living hell.
Reportedly, hail stones the size of tennis balls.
Local officials said a line of villages had suffered significant damage along a 25km (15-mile) stretch of road heading from Breclav to Hodonin, to the north-east had been done.

Mayor Pavel Trojan said that almost every building in the village of Valtice, on the other side of Breclav, had been damaged by a blitz of hail.
Around 1,000 homes were affected and local authorities are working on providing accommodation for people whose roofs had been destroyed.
The pictures of the devastation in villages in the Hodonin area are extremely shocking.
Rescue teams was deployed across the country, as well as from neighbouring Austria and Slovakia. Tens of thousands of people have been left powerless.

Tornado destroyed at least a third of the houses in the village of Hrusky, with a population of 1,600 people. Only 15 percent of buildings had been untouched, said deputy mayor Marek Babisz.
