No more use of Chinese Apps in India

India on Monday has banned 59 apps that originate from China. Tik Tok Ban India

India on Monday has banned 59 apps that originate from China. It is banned in order to keep privacy and to keep ourselves safe from cybercrime. “The Indian cybercrime coordination centre, ministry of Home Affairs, has also sent exhaustive recommendations for blocking these malicious apps” centres statement.

India has given a knee jerk reaction by giving a clear message to China after an increase in tension at ‘line of Actual Control’ that has killed our 20 Indian soldiers.

This band has enforced under section 69 A of the Information Technology Act. This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace and to safeguard the interest of crores of Indian mobile/ internet users. users may soon see a message saying access to the apps has been restricted at the request of the government. 59 Chinese Apps which are banned in India among the popular ones are:

Ministry of Electronics and IT has further stated in his press release that “The Ministry of Information Technology has received many complaints from various sources including several reports about the misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers which have locations outside India. The compilation of these data, its mining and profiling by elements hostile to national security and defence of India, which ultimately impinges upon the sovereignty and integrity of India, is a matter of very deep and immediate concern which requires emergency measures”.

Meanwhile, Tik Tok has insisted that it did not pass on any information about its users to the Chinese government or any other foreign government and would not do so in the future too.
