Japan: Campaigners seek guidelines: no kissing, no sharing plates in bars

Japan: Workers from Japan’s nightlife who are campaigning amid the novel coronavirus is seeking realistic guidelines for how to stay safe and remain in business as they have seen was are becoming the centres of contagion zone. They further said,” staff need to follow practical rules on how to interact with customers”, said Shinya lwamuro, a urologist and public Health advocate who has been teaching infection control measures in Tokyo Shinjuku district and other night posts which means interaction should not include sharing of plates or kissing. It should be done at right angles to avoid droplet contamination.

Lwamuro in his news conference thought and picturised “kiss etiquette” by describing that ” as much as possible, kiss only with your partner, and avoid deep kissing”. As per leading website reports, Kaori Kohga, representative director of the nightlife business association said,” millions of people are estimated to work in the industry, many Japanese are seeking work, particularly single mothers. She said that safety rules for members had been drafted by its own groups. As, it found government recommendation which includes wearing a mask is mandatory, to maintain two-metre social distancing, disinfecting Karaoke microphones, were impractical, she told.
