US Presidential Elections: The American rapper Kanye West is heading for his first campaign trial which will take place in South Carolina on Sunday. Initially, it looked as if Kanye was out of the presidential bid 2020 as reports circulated about his withdrawal from the U.S presidential elections.

However, the rapper on late Saturday announced that he will be steering for the first political event of his election campaign in South Carolina at 5 PM on Sunday. Kanye’s first presidential campaign event will be held at the Exquis Center in North Charleston, according to a statement which said it is “for registered guests only.”

Those who wish to attend the debut presidential candidates’s event must register themselves at kanye2020.country. However, the site does not appear to have a specific link to sign up for the event yet. Kanye wrote, “Hi guys please sign up to put me on the ballot in South Carolina at any of these locations,” wrote the famous rapper on Twitter, sharing a list of locations.

As per reports, West will be holding a pre-rally press event and all the attendees will be asked to sign a COVID-19 liability release form, where instructions about social distancing and wearing of the mask will be mentioned. Earlier west had tweeted that he was hopeful that his supporters will land him onto the ballot in the state.

It is still unclear how Kanye would qualify for the polls, as he has lapsed many deadlines, and the deadline for the South Carolina to file signature as an independent candidate was July 15. The state does not allow write-in candidates.
Earlier this week in Oklahoma West got on the ballot in his first state. As state allows independent candidates to pay a $35000, fee– there was small change for Kanye which Forbes stated his worth is just over $1 billion to get on the November ballot.
West is running short of time in many states. He has to get 270 electoral votes to win, among states, there are only 306 electoral votes left and for Washington, D.C where the filling deadlines have yet to pass.

If Kanye is not able to make it to the ballots for the five states with an August,3 deadlines, the possibility is he won’t be able to register a win on the election day.
