Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' investment in Doge could send the cryptocurrency soaring to new heights.

Rumours are doing the rounds that Amazon founder Jeff Bezoz might make an entry in to the cryptocurrency market and invest billions of dollars in Dogecoin. Financial experts spoke to the Express UK that Bezos’ investment can take Doge to new heights both in the short term and long run.

Jeff Bezos is considering backing Dogecoin after more than 140,000 people signed a petition asking the e-commerce giant Amazon to accept Dogecoin as a payment method, revealed the expert.

”There is speculation that Jeff Bezos might be coming to the scene as a second-lead (after Elon Musk),” the expert said to Express UK and continued, ”The adoption from someone like Bezos can set Dogecoin to $1 in less than 24 hours.”

Dogecoin is the most talked about cryptocurrency at present.

Both Musk and Bezoz’ involvement in Dogecoin has the ability to thrill investors including making new investors pump in their money in Doge in the hope to get good returns. ”Not only would it have the approval of Bezos, but it would be supported by the two richest men in the world. That is something that is only seen once-in-a-lifetime.”

However, new reports are also doing the rounds that Amazon is secretly working on a plan to start its own cryptocurrency giving that it can be the future of digital investments. The reports come after Amazon put up job adverts saying the company is hiring talents for ‘Digital and Emerging Payments (DEP)’ division.

The job description indicates that Amazon wants to ”convert cash into digital currency,” as a line from the JD read, ”We are building a tech team to build innovative payment products for customers in emerging markets,” giving an idea that people can use virtual money to buy their products.

However, none of the reports are officially confirmed and we will have to wait and watch if Jeff Bezos plans to invest in Dogecoin or start his own cryptocurrency in the near future.

Also, high profile celebrities such as Tesla founder Elon Musk, rapper Snoop Dog, Kiss bassist Gene Simmons and also Mia Khalifa have invested in Dogecoin. Musk frequently tweets about Doge sending the cryptocurrency to new heights and his tweet also crashed the Robinhood app as investors including millennials signup up to invest.
