Boris Johnson's UK government gets slammed for forcing people to get back to work from office without laying out a detailed road map to keep employees safe from the Coronavirus.

The Boris Johnson Government has been accused of shying away from its responsibility to make workplaces safe before asking people to get back to work.

Labour was quoted saying the move a ‘beggars belief’ and have urged to drop it. The Official Scientific Advisory Group For Emergencies (Sage) has called for a safer workplace to be in place before the workers get back to their offices. The independent body has urged for workplaces to be certified before workers get back to their routine work with measures such as unannounced inspection by the authorities to ensure they follow the guidelines.

The government’s move comes at a time when pupils are asked to return to schools and colleges with the daily spike of Covid-19 cases in UK topped with 1,522 confirmed cases on Thursday.

Criticism has also poured in from the government’s own wing which works for the vulnerable section of the society – Equality and Human Rights Commission( ECHR) which raised skepticism over government’s plan stating it would penalize vulnerable and disabled.

While most people have adapted working from home overnight owing to the pandemic, they seem to adapt the same beyond the pandemic which has helped them to enjoy greater flexibility while working.
