Donald Trump Honored With 'Patriot Of The Year' Award 2024

Donald Trump was honored with the ‘Patriot of the Year’ award. He was honored with this award during  a special event hosted by Fox Nation in Long Island on Thursday. The award ceremony, held at the Tilles Center for Performing Arts in Brookville, New York, followed a live rendition of Lee Greenwood’s patriotic song “God Bless the USA.” The trophy which was presented to Trump was designed to resemble the American flag.

During his acceptance speech, Trump reflected on his successful campaign for the presidency. He went on asserting that the nation was already seeing the positive effects of his victory over Kamala Harris. “We had such a spectacular election,” Trump said. He went on describing that the election period as “tremendous,” one. He also pointed out that he had worked tirelessly for 72 days without a break until Election Day.

The Enlightening Speech Of Donald Trump

Trump further emphasized the remarkable accomplishments in the short time since the election. He went on declaring that, “I think you have seen more happen in the last two weeks than you’ve seen in the last four years, and we’re not even there yet.” He reiterated his campaign slogan, “We’re going to make America great again.”

The event marked the sixth annual Patriot Awards by Fox Nation. Fox Nation recognizes notable figures such as military veterans, first responders, and individuals who have made significant contributions to the nation. One of the emotional moments of the evening was when the widow of slain NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller, Stephanie Diller, was honored.

The ceremony was attended by around 2,000 people, many of whom displayed American flags and wore “Make America Great Again” attire. Sean Hannity, the Fox News host, emceed the event and highlighted the diversity of this year’s honorees. “What I love about it is, unlike the Oscars, Grammys, or Tonys, this event recognizes the unsung heroes the men and women who truly make this country great every day,” Hannity shared. “They never get recognition, and that’s what makes this event so special.” He furthermore added saying, “And I think that’s what makes it special. And there are so many great patriots in the country that deserve recognition. It’s an honor to be a part of it”

Various awards were presented in categories such as service to veterans, bravery, and courage. Fox News personalities, including Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, and Judge Jeanine Pirro, also participated in the ceremony as presenters.
