The police officers first met with two people who reported assault that took place inside a home on the south side of McAllen around 3:30 pm. The suspect met with officers at the door, shot both the officers and killed them, ever before they take a step, they were no more. Later on, the suspect shot himself.

According to police records, the suspect had a few-run ins with the police since 2016. He was arrested a month ago for the assault charges. Officers said it was unexpected. The attack happened suddenly, and it was too late when fellow police officers reached the venue.
