America’s Got Talent Judge Simon Cowell Meets With Bike Accident, Injures Back And Undergoes Surgery

Simon Cowell is critical and is undergoing a back surgery at the hospital.

America’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell broke his back while falling off his bike and underwent a surgery. According to sources, he was testing a new electric bike in the courtyard of his home in Malibu, California, with his family when he fell off. A broken back usually refers to a fracture in a part of the spine, although Cowell’s injuries was not clear. It was also not known what caused his fall from the electric bike.

The 60-year-old entertainment mogul, has been taken to hospital where he was being operated overnight, he’s under observation and is doing fine. Cowell claimed of low blood pressure and a “vampire” lifestyle because of which he fall down the stairs at his London home, which resulted in paramedics taking him to hospital in 2017.

Cowell, who is also known for judging Britain’s Got Talent, American Idol and the X Factor, was set to return to America’s Got Talent for the first live show airing on Tuesday. A source close to Cowell informed The Sun that, he would not be physically present for the semi finals but will be there virtually, and judging the shows.

Recently, the music tycoon, has been pictured on several bike rides in the US with his partner, Lauren Silverman, 43, and their 6-year-old son, Eric. Besides that, he told The Sun that he lost four inches around his waist after taking a diet of white meat, vegetables and light beer following a previous fall in October 2017.

Last week it was revealed that Cowell would miss the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent for the first time because of clash in schedules with the American version of the show caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. Last month, the tycoon signed a deal with Sony Music Entertainment giving his company, Syco Entertainment, ownership of all the international versions of The X Factor and Got Talent programmes.
