Sushant Singh Rajput gets a road named in Bihar
Leaving the nation in shock, Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh Rajput took his own life in his Bandra apartment on July 14, 2020. Following his tragic demise, fans across the nation have been mourning, protesting and paying tribute to the late actor in several possible ways. Recently, to pay respect and as to mark his brilliant acting, a road and roundabout in his hometown Purnea in Bihar were named after Sushant Singh.
Mayor Savita Devi said that Sushant is a great artist, and because of his great heart, the remaining of the road and roundabout is a way to pay tribute to him. According to Mayor, the road from Madhubani to Mata Chowk will now be called Sushant Singh Rajput road and a popular car company roundabout has also been rechristened to Sushant Singh Rajput Chowk.
Videos of fans unveiling the new name of the road and roundabout in Purnea, Bihar with Sushant’s name on it went viral on social media. Reportedly, the mayor has also written to the Prime Minister urging him for CBI investigation in Sushant’s case. Apart from her, Shekhar Suman also met with Bihar’s CM for the same, last month. His fans have also been urging the Government and the officials for a higher investigation in his suicide case.

Meanwhile, Sushant’s case is being probed by the Mumbai police and this week, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali recorded his statement for 4 hours, where he informed the police that he did not drop Sushant from any of his films but it was due to date issues and due to some contract he could not do his films.
Also, upon this, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Subramanian Swamy said, at present, we are not demanding any arrest in the case, but there are many doubts in lakhs of people’s minds in relation to Rajput’s death, those needs to be cleared, while speaking to Ishkaran Bhandari, an advocate and a political columnist.
Reports say that no suicide note was found in Sushant’s apartment in Mumbai. His funeral took place the next day on June 15 which was attended by his family, friends and his Bollywood counterparts. His last film, Dil Bechara starring Sanjana Sanghi will release on July 24, 2020. His death left many questions behind, which are needed to be cleared very soon.
