CMA Awards 2021: Carly Pearce becomes emotional after bagging Female Vocalist of the Year at the event.
CMA awards 2021 was held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with Luke Bryan hosting the big event. The biggest talents from Country Music came together on one platform for its 55th annual ceremony on Wednesday night. The 2021 CMA Awards saw Chris Stapleton bagging maximum wins including Male Vocalist of the Year, Single, Album and Song of the Year.
“I want to say thank you to everybody that listened to the record, everybody that listens to music – country music fans,” he said while accepting Album of the Year for Starting Over. “It’s always an honour to receive the album award. We work really hard to make albums—we believe in albums, and we like what that is,” he said.
Heading into the night, Chris and Eric Church led the most nominated artist with five nominations with both in the running for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Meanwhile, Gabby Barret picked up four nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Though Chris was nominated for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award, Luke Combs bags the winner of the same.
The biggest moments of the award ceremony include the emotional expression of new artists whose talents were showcased in the big event.

Among them, Carly Pearce takes home the Female Vocalist of the Year award for the first time. Pearce is moved to tears as she receives the prestigious award. “I really didn’t think this was going to happen,” the 31-year-old singer said while receiving support from a close friend and collaborator Ashley McBryde adding, “I’ve had just a crazy year and I want you to know that this means everything to me. Country music saved me at a time that I needed it and this is all I’ve ever wanted in the entire world.”

Pearce’s win seemed even sweeter when she was spotted with her boyfriend, former MLB player Riley King at the event for the celebration of her big win. The camera caught them exchanging kisses before receiving the award.
