“Dancing With The Stars” fires hosts, Tom Bergeron, Erin Andrews

Dancing With The Stars: Tom Bergeron has hosted “Dancing With the Stars” since its premiere in 2005 and continued to host 28 seasons in 15 years.

Dancing With The Stars: The news season of “Dancing With the Stars” will not feature its hosts, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. Tom Bergeron took to his Twitter account to share that he will not be returning to the show after the fall. He said he was “ just informed” that the show will be continuing without him, according to reports in a leading website.

ABC said, “this is because they are going in a new creative direction.” ABC has released a statement saying, “Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the Dancing with the Stars family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success. Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humour has become a hallmark of the show.”

Bergeron has hosted “Dancing With the Stars” since its premiere in 2005 and continued to host 28 seasons in 15 years. 29th season of the show will be the first season without him and it will be interesting to see how this show captivates the viewers. Andrews joined the show in 2014 and she was the fourth woman to co-host with Bergeron. Andrews was 2nd runner-up of the show in 2010.

Bergeron was nominated for 11 Emmy awards and won an Emmy award in 2012 for outstanding host for a reality show.

Fans took it to social media to express their love for Bergeron. One of them quoted, “you were the only reason we kept watching the past season.”

According to Newsweek, no announcement has been published regarding the release of the 29th season of the show. The spring season of the show was cancelled because of the COVID pandemic.
