Himakshi Kalita was born on August 31, 1998, in Guwahati. Born to Jurimoni Devi and Bishnu Kalita, Himakshi is now a student of Handique Girls College. She did her schooling at St. Marys higher secondary, Guwahati.
Himakshi Kalita started her journey of acting by receiving the national best actress award in 2012 at Dehradun, She has also won the title of Miss Telegraph t2 Assam, Miss Nikon DY365 and she was the runner-up of Miss Sanskriti. Himakshi has been a neighbourhood of several fashion shows, music videos, short films and dramas. She is currently the brand ambassador of Sunshine Academy of Makeup and Styling Northeast.

Himakshi’s introduction ahead of the camera happened during a music video shoot titled “Boroxa Mukhor Xondhiya”. The singer of that song was Arjyaneel and directed by Bappa Ahmed.
