Alia Bhatt's new film 'Jigra' has received a bag of mixed reviews from the audience.
Alia Bhatt’s newly released film Jigra has witnessed a drop-down after its theatrical release. Actress Alia Bhatt, who is known for her breathtaking and remarkable performances, has played an Angry Young Woman in Vasan Bala’s prison-break thriller Jigra.
Moreover, this isn’t the first time Alia playing such a role. She has earlier taken down women bigger in size and even smashed beer bottle on the head of one in Gully Boy. Alia Bhatt’s Jigra has received a bag of mixed reviews from the audience.
The A-lister’s recently released film is witnessing a dip at the box office. The film faced an excessive drop and is seen as the worst opener for one of Bollywood’s finest actress Alia Bhatt. The film released during the weekend of Navratri’s auspicious occasion. However, it didn’t turn out to grab audience’s attention much.

As per some reports, the film hasn’t shown significant growth since its release. In fact, the film only managed to collect an amount of only ₹5.65 crore on its third day.
While on the other hand the release of teaser and trailer of the film successfully managed to get a good number of views. While the promotions of the film looked promising as well. But with the release the film ended up getting mixed rather cold reactions from the audience.
According to film critics and reports the film is yet to cross an amount of ₹20 crore at the box office. The film was released on 11th October and ended up collecting ₹4.55 crore. The film had an advantage since the weekend was owned by public holiday Dusshera. However, on the weekend the film managed to show some slight growth and ended up earning ₹6.55 crore. On the third day, the film had only managed to earn the amount of ₹16.75 crore so far.
The film is facing rigid and unbendable competition at the box office with actor Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s recently released film Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The film ended up clashing at the box office as it beat Jigra with the opening day’s collections. Actress Alia Bhatt is seen essaying a pivotal role in the film. Bhatt plays the role of a sister who is on a mission to save her brother. Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and is co-produced by Karan Johar.
