After the Coronavirus lockdown, Country music singer Lily Comer stopped performing live and took to Facebook live to interact and entertain her fans.
When Lily Comer discovered Country music, she discovered life.
Country music singer Lily Comer began strumming the guitar when she was 13 years old and never looked back since then. The 18-year-old singer released several songs of her own and also covers, and stuck firmly to her roots and beliefs of Country music.
Her father and uncles performed in a band their whole life and Comer is following in their footsteps and making her family proud. She’s been listening to classic country songs all her life and the music grew on her over the years.
Comer, revealed how important the music is to her and stated that country songs tell a story which has deep meaning in both life and love and everyone can connect with the lyrics.
She said exclusively to The News Pit, “I grew up on Country Music. I listened to it with my parents growing up. As I got older, I understood the lyrics to the classic country songs I have always listened to. Country music tells a story. These stories always have a meaning behind them. I fell in love with country music because of the stories it can tell and it reminds me of home.”
Before completely venturing out for Country music, Comer experimented with different music genres like rock, pop, blues and finally realized her heart lies in Country songs and began performing.
“I spent a lot of time as an artist not knowing what my passion was. I sang all kinds of music in the beginning, pop, rock, blues, and of course country. As I matured as an artist I realized that country is where my heart is at. Country music has shaped me as an artist and a person because it has allowed me to discover my true passion.”

Coronavirus Pandemic Stopped Lily Comer’s Live Shows
Lily Comer was performing on stage regularly before the coronavirus lockdown and it’s now been a while since she hasn’t hit the stage. Comer revealed that she misses performing live and interacting with her audience and hopes that things will get back to normal soon so she can get back performing on stage.
“I was playing shows every week before Coronavirus affected our entire world,” she said and continued, “Back in April all of my shows got cancelled. Because I could not do in person shows for that time, I started doing live concerts on Facebook. Of course, this wasn’t the same as a live audience, but I missed performing so much that I had to do something!
