Ranjan Sehgal who starred in Sarbjit alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dies aged 36

Punjabi actor Ranjan Sehgal, who also starred in the film Sarabjit alongside Aishwariya Rai Bachchan has passed away at merely 36.

Ranjan Sehgal’s Demise: 2020 seem to have become a historical mourning year along with much pain and grief. The Bollywood industry has lost another gem early night on Saturday, July 11. According to reports, the very popular face of Punjabi and Bollywood industry, Ranjan Sehgal, who featured in the movie Sarabjit alongside actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has passed away at merely 36. Sehgal reportedly died due to multiple organ failure after suffering from prolonged illness. He was known for his prolific acting in Television and several acclaimed plays.

B-town lost many of its gems consecutively. The whole nation is still mourning the loss of Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death and yet another shocking news has shivered the film industry. Losing great artists one by one is heartbroken. Since April 2020, several Bollywood celebrities have died starting with Bollywood and Hollywood actor Irfan Khan, then the legendary Rishi Kapoor and then ace choreographer Saroj Khan. Bollywood’s music composer, Wajid Khan also breathed his last in a hospital, followed by the suicide of the young and promising actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The world is fighting against the Coronavirus pandemic, which has already taken millions of lives.

Ranjan Sehgal Acting Career

On the work front, Ranjan Sehgal was seen in popular TV shows such as – Savdhan India and Crime Patrol. One of his noted works includes ‘Sarabjit’ where he starred opposite actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda. He has also appeared in many TV serials like ‘Rishte Se Se Badi Prabha’.

Ranjan starred in several Punjabi films and did theatre while pursuing his acting career. According to reports, he was suffering from illness for a long time and was undergoing treatment. He died on Saturday morning at 1:00 AM after his body went through multiple organs failure. Ranjan was the trained artist and the 36-year-old artist did his MA in theatre from Punjab University in 2009.
