On Tuesday Mumbai police received the forensic audit report of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s bank, a top official said. After carrying out an investigation into Sushant’s bank account after his untimely death the cops have finally decided to get the reports forensically audited.

As per reports, Grant Thornton an accounting and advisory firm was appointed as the forensic auditor in the case. The police have received the reports from the auditors as confirmed by the top police official. Sushant’s bank transactions from the last five years were analyzed by the accounting firm, the officials said, according to a leading news website.

As per officials, the report suggested there was no financial transaction from Sushant’s account to his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. The Mumbai cops will share the audit report with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is looking to find out the suspected money laundering aspect in Sushant’s suicide case, the officials said.

On 25 July, Sushant’s father KK Singh had filed a complaint in Patna police station against Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea, her family, and others, alleging the abetment of his son’s suicide. After Sushant’s father’s complaint against Rhea, the Patna police hade filed an FIR against Ms Chakraborty and many others.

In the complaint filed by Mr KK Singh had claimed that an amount of Rupees 15 crore was illegally transferred from Sushant’s bank account. Today the Supreme Court is going to announce its verdict whether CBI should investigate the Sushant’s suicide case which unfortunately occurred two months ago.

The verdict on the petition will be given by Justice Hrishikesh Roy filed by Sushant’s friend and actor Rhea Chakraborty who had requested to transfer the FIR lodged by Sushant’s father in Patna to Mumbai where the actor was found dead. The Bihar government has transferred Patna FIR to the CBI urging the central government to ask the investigating agency to handle the suicide mystery of Sushant Singh Rajput.

On the other hand, Maharashtra government has opposed the centre’s move to refer the case to CBI and said the FIR filed in Patna should be referred to Mumbai Police in whose jurisdiction the incident happened. The Mumbai police are yet to file an FIR and have continued their investigation under the accidental death report.
