Sushmita Sen shares her favourite scene from her show Aarya, the actress is lauded for her performance

Sushmita Sen: The show has made a lot of noise and the actress was widely hailed for her performance in a gritty show. Recently Sushmita took to Instagram to share a BTS video from the sets of Aarya and also revealed her favourite scene in the process.

The scene she shared was intense and showed Sushmita in a state of shock and how she was taken over by grief. Her caption for over a minute-long video, read, “Tears keep rolling even when the camera stops!! One of my favourite scenes performed BRILLIANTLY by #Maa @sohaila.Kapur Such is the intensity of the filming Process by @madhvaniram that even after a “cut” I kept crying..embarrassed further by his appreciative hug!!!”

Adding, “Energy doesn’t lie!!! #sharing #cherished #memories #bts #Aarya #inthemoment WHAT A TEAM!!! I love you guys!!!” Aarya also stars the versatile actor Chandrachur Singh as Sushmita’s onscreen husband who is involved in an illegal narcotics business. An adaptation of popular Dutch crime-drama Penoza, the show also stars Namit Das, Sikandar Kher, and Sugandha Garg among others.

The web series is directed by Ram Madhvani, who helmed Neerja, the Disney Hotstar show is based on Dutch drama series Penoza. Sushmita sen plays the titular role and the series tracks her transformation from a family woman to someone who picks up the arms to protect her family and tie the loose ends of her husband’s murky business.

The actress has crowned Femina Miss India in 1994 and won Miss Universe 1994 at the age of 18. Sushmita is the first Indian woman to win the competition and has since primarily worked in Bollywood movies. Sushmita has won Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress in the comedy film Biwi No.1 (1999) and was also nominated in the category for her roles in Sirf Tum (1999) and Filhaal (2002). Her commercially successful movies include Aankhen (2002), Main Hoon Na (2004), and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005).
