Actor cum comedian, Jaya Prakash Reddy died on Tuesday at his residence in Guntur. The South film fraternity is in shock. Many celebrities paid condolences to the late actor.
Jaya Prakash Reddy’s demise: There are few actors who are remembered for thier significant work in the film industry and one of the very renowned actors amongst them was Jaya Prakash Reddy, who is best known for his comic and villainous roles in Telugu films. The actor has died today in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh after suffering from a cardiac arrest. He was 74. V actor Sudheer Babu took to his Twitter page and confirmed the news by paying condolences.
Jaya Prakash Reddy was also a popular theatre artist and even after gaining his fame in films, he played roles in stage plays once in a while. JP was a well-known personality in the world of theatre. He’s one of the notable works included a series of plays enacted at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram in Guntur, which he ran for over three years starting from 2014.
The actor made his debut in movies with Venkatesh starrer, Brahmaputrudu in 1988. He was best known for his distinct dialogue delivery and histrionics that were appreciated by his fans. Talking of his comedy, then he bagged everyone behind. Jaya Prakash Reddy excelled with his perfect timing and hilarious expressions.

In whichever movies he played including, Samarasimha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu became blockbusters. His last movie was Sarileru Neekuevvaru, along with Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu film, which was also a hit. The Telugu star also featured in a number of Telugu and Tamil films like Brahma Puthrudu, Samarasimha Reddy, Uthamaputhiran, Aaru, Anjaneya and Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru, among many others.
The demise of Telugu star left shocked and saddened to the whole film industry. As soon as the official statement was out, Twitter is flooded with the tributes and condolences. Actors like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh Daggubati, Mahesh Babu, Prakash Raj, Jr NTR, SS Rajamouli, Sudheer Babu, Genelia D’Souza, Kajal Aggarwal, Surender Reddy, Satyadev Kancharana and other actors and filmmakers paid tribute to the actor. Not only this, Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Leader of Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu also condoled the death of JP.
