Turmeric Milk, Kadha & Lemon Juice: How often should you consume these immunity boosters? Experts explain!

Nutritionists reveal how often should we consume Turmeric Milk, Kadha and Lemon Juice to lead a healthy life.

Drinking Kadha instead of coffee or tea and cold drinks is the best way to boost your immunity amid the Coronavirus pandemic as you are consuming a healthy replacement of sour Lemon juice. Haldi doodh is also the best supplement to boost your immunity shielding you from diseases that cause harm.

Kadha, lemon juice and Haldi Doodh is proven to be the best immunity booster drinks, yet unaware about the quantity. Taking it daily may cause other diseases too. Many nutritionist give out a few tips on how much of the spices can be used and when should we drink these to boost our immunity.

1. Kadha


Kadha has many benefits, which helps to boost your immune system better. The spices like cardamom, cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves, cumins, etc are good, but these spices are very hot in nature. Nutritionist, Isha Khosla advised against drinking Kadha everyday, because the mixture of all these hot spices may leads to stomach problems, digestion problem, nausea and skin dryness. She advised to give a break of a few days if you are drinking it on a daily basis. She added that having Kadha in alternate days would be the best.

2. Turmeric Milk


Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties, of turmeric helps in a lot of treatment. Nutritionist, Isha Khosla, appreciated the best properties of Turmeric by saying that Turmeric milk is the best immunity booster drink. She advised that if you are taking it daily, remember to add just a pinch of Turmeric in your milk, since it is hot in nature.

3. Lemon Juice


Lemon is a great source of Vitamin C, which further helps in boosting your immunity. According to Consultant and Nutritionist Rupali Dutta, having juice of 2 lemons a day may be a good plan. She said, “However, you should know that lemon contains a high amount of citric acid which may affect the alkaline content of our body.”

On the other hand, Bangalore-based Nutritionist Dr. Anju Sood warns patient who are suffering from gastric problems to not to consume lemon juice, but advised them to consume it once a week.
