Kaziranga National Park and the mighty river Brahmaputra in Assam: The World Heritage site Kaziranga National Park is famous for the availability of the rare one-horned rhino, which is not seen anywhere else in the world. 2. Dawki and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya: Every year people from across India and abroad visit the state of Meghalaya which is also known as the abode of clouds. The beauty of the state lies on its hills and mountains and dense forests loaded with pine trees. The root bridge in Cherrapunji which is a major tourist attraction looks phenomenal and one would be surprised to know that Cherrapunji is the place which gets the highest rainfall in the world every year.

Nohkalikai Falls in Meghalaya: The Nohkalikai falls is the highest waterfall in the Meghalaya state. It has also been heard from local people that the name Nohkalikai has been derived from a local heartbreaking story where a mother loses her child in the hands of her husband.

Reiek in Mizoram: Reiek is a mountain tourist spot situated 29 km away from the capital city of Mizoram, India. It is located at an elevation of 1465 metres and offers a great view of the surrounding valleys and hills overlooking Aizawl. Tourists can go trekking on the hills and have a memorable experience.

Tsomgo lake in Sikkim: The Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake in Sikkim is a glacial lake situation 12000 feet above the surface. It is located about 40 kms away from the capital city Gangtok. The specialty of this lake is that it remains totally frozen during winter.
