Bagheera Returns: In a sensational fashion, the photographs of a rare Black Panther believed to be spotted in forests of Kabini, clicked by photographer Shaaz Jung stormed on Twitter with netizens relating it to Bagheera, a popular character from the famous fantasy fiction – Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.
The post on Twitter by a page called ‘Earth’ attracted over 2,70,000 likes and over 56,000 retweets. “A black panther roaming in the jungles of Kabini, India,” took Internet by surprise.

In the Jungle Book, Bagheera, the Black Panther, brought Mowgli to the jungle, while an infant, trained him to be the ‘daring boy of the jungle’. It’s quite magical that a fantasy turns out to be a reality and this time in the forests of India.
Photographer Shaaz Jung is an avid wildlife enthusiast and has featured his work with the National Geographic. The photographer is also an ambassador for Nikon India and just a year ago, he shared pictures of Tigresses roaming the forests of Kabini and the images look supreme in all sense. He captioned it on Twitter, ”Meet the second of our Eternal Seven; none other than the true queen of Kabini.”
