CBI Takes Over: Supreme Court has directed CBI to investigate late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh rajput's suicide case.
CBI Takes Over: The Supreme Court has finally directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) department to investigate the suicide case of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who unfortunately took his own life in his Bandra apartment two months ago.
The Bihar government had transferred Patna FIR to the CBI urging the central government to ask the investigating agency to handle the suicide mystery of Sushant Singh Rajput. On the other hand, Maharashtra government has opposed the centre’s move to refer the case to CBI and said the FIR filed in Patna should be referred to Mumbai Police in whose jurisdiction the incident happened. The Mumbai police are yet to file an FIR and have continued their investigation under the accidental death report.
On Tuesday Mumbai police received the forensic audit report of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s bank, a top official said. After carrying out an investigation into Sushant’s bank account after his untimely death the cops have finally decided to get the reports forensically audited.

As per reports, Grant Thornton an accounting and advisory firm was appointed as the forensic auditor in the case. The police have received the reports from the auditors as confirmed by the top police official. Sushant’s bank transactions from the last five years were analyzed by the accounting firm, the officials said.
As per officials, the report suggested there was no financial transaction from Sushant’s account to his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. The Mumbai cops will share the audit report with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is looking to find out the suspected money laundering aspect in Sushant’s suicide case, the officials said.
