Manipur Class 10th Result: Twelve-year-old Issac Paullungmuan from Manipur has created history by becoming the youngest person from his state to crack the Class 10th board examination. Issac Paullungmuan, a student of Mount Olive School in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, sat for his High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) in 2020. Before the authorities approved his request to sit for the Board exams, Isaac had to undergo a psychology test, which was done by the clinical psychology department in Imphal. The 12-year-old’s reports revealed that he has a higher IQ for which he was allowed to appear in the state board exams.

As per the test reports, BOSEM secretary said that the student’s age was found to be 17 years 5 months with an IQ of 141, which is superior intellectual and developmental functioning. Being such a rare and special case, the Manipur board examination committee allowed Isaac to sit in the Matriculation exams. The 12-year-old’s father, Genkholien Vaiphei, who is also one of the founders of the Mount Olive School, said that officials initially suggested him to change the boy’s age to 15.

However, instead, he chose to take the ethical way. “I put forward an application to the director of education (school) to allow my son to appear in the HSLC exam, 2020, using his original date of birth. The matter was further forwarded to Commissioner of Education (School) for further discussion,” said the kid’s father.

When interviewed by PTI, Issac said that he was extremely happy that the government approved his case and allowed him to appear in the board exams, adding that he also dreams to set another record by becoming the youngest IAS officer in the country. Meanwhile, the Manipur Board declared the Class 10th results on its official website on Monday, June 15, 2020.
