CNN’s Jake Tapper suggested that the Republican party has turned into a party of “deranged bigots” after two far-right candidates Laura Loomer and Marjorie Taylor Greene won the Republican primaries and are on the ballot this November election.

Laura Loomer, who won the Republican primaries in Florida, was banned from all social media formats for being a far-right activist and provocateur who has a long history of Islamophobic rhetoric and gatecrashed several interviews as a publicity stunt to push her social media following. She had described Islam as “cancer on humanity” and said ”Muslim candidates should not be allowed to hold office in America.” Laura also called herself a “proud Islamophobe.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene, who won the Republican primaries in Georgia, is a Q-Anon conspiracy theorists who also said derogatory statements against Muslims. She complained about “Islamic invasion” into U.S government offices and called black and Hispanic men to be “gangs and dealing drugs.”

Both Laura and Marjorie’s victories at the Republican primaries has shocked people and social media is rife with mudslinging against the two.
