Disneyland in Hong Kong to close again from July 15

Coronavirus Scare: Walt Disney World made an announcement recently to shut down the Hongkong Disneyland from July 15 onwards again on a temporary basis. The sudden announcement was made as to the biggest resort in Florida, US opened. Florida has been the fifth state in the US that has recorded 18,624 cases of Coronavirus.

In lieu of rising cases in Hongkong, the official authority took prevention steps across Hongkong and decided to shut down its Disneyland from July 15. However, the hotels in the Hongkong Disneyland will be opened and will run following all the health and safety protocols. Hongkong has a record in 52 new cases of Coronavirus on Monday, out of which 41 were locally transmitted. The city has reported 1522 cases in total.

Florida, on the other hand, has become the epicentre of the COVID-19. The resort, located in Orlando, Florida, opened on Saturday despite increasing cases in the state.
Hongkong has tightened the COVID-19 measures amid growing cases in the third stage of the infection. The government will also limit the gathering from 50 to 4.

The Disneyland of Hongkong hold ls majority of holding of 53 per cent, which was opened in June, followed by Tokyo Disneyland opened in July, and then Shanghai Disneyland opened in May. According to the reports, Disney World planned to reopen its Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks on the weekends. The other two parks of Walt Disney World, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, will reopen on July 15.

Disney’s parks and resorts are the biggest source of revenue for the company. The company, this year hit hard due to the pandemic Coronavirus, otherwise, it earned a good amount of profit the previous year. The new chairman of Walt Disney Josh D’ Amaro in an interview with CNN Business told that they are ready for the new normal.

He further told that the company is ready to prepare for the operation of this new environment, knowing that the world this time is in a different place. He claimed that the resort is safe for the guests as we are continuously following all the medical protocols set by the Government.
