Isaias Tornado Whips Canada, US East Coast

A tornado swept Bertie County, North Carolina, and two others in the United States killing at least two people.

Isaias: Tropical storm Isaias frantically moved to the East Coast today where two people were reported dead, millions of people lost their power, thousands of people were evacuated. Tornadoes have hit in multiple states in the US.

A nautical storm is expected to be 1 to 3 feet, with the addition of 2 to 3 inches of rain and wind with a speed of 70 mph. Further, it is informed that it will hit Boston by 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. and the wind will blow at 50 mph with less than an inch of rain expected.

  • Virginia Beach, Virginia: now through 11 a.m. ET
  • Washington, DC: now through 1 p.m. ET
  • Philadelphia: 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. ET
  • New York City: 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. ET
  • Boston 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. ET

According to Reports, Twelve people from Windsor, North Carolina have been injured and were hospitalized and two people were killed when a Tornado struck on Tuesday night. On the one hand, the country is suffering from Coronavirus pandemic and on another side, Tornado hits in the city by which more than 2.5 million people have lost their electrical power.

More than a dozen tornadoes have been reported in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware, CNN meteorologist Brandon Miller said. A tornado issue was reported in several major cities, including New York and Philadelphia, until 4 p.m. Tuesday.

LaGuardia Airport in New York had one gust by the speed of 69 mph on Tuesday as reported by the National Weather Service. More than 3000 people were evacuated from Ocracoke Island on Monday. Many buildings have collapsed in Brooklyn during the storm.

Forecast by the National Hurricane Centre says, “Isaias is racing north-northeastward across Eastern Pennsylvania into Southeastern New York”. By 2 PM strong winds and heavy rains and tornadoes are expected in New England.
