The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced the recruitment of apprentices for 2024. This offers a remarkable opportunity for aspiring candidates for those who want to kick-start their careers in the aviation sector.
The AAI aims to fill the vacant posts of ITI Diploma and Graduate Apprentice. Furthermore, this initiative has been designed for only to nurture talent but also to strengthen the workforce in the rapidly growing aviation sector.

The registration process for this recruitment can be done completely online on the NATS portal nats.education.gov.in (Graduate / Diploma Apprentice) and portal apprenticeshipindia.org (ITI Apprentice). The important thing that candidates should keep in mind is that the last date to apply has been fixed as 31 October 2024. The date of application won’t be extended further.
A total of 135 posts will be filled through this recruitment by AAI. Out of these, 45 posts have been reserved for ITI trade apprentices. Whereas, 50 positions are there for diploma apprentices. And 40 posts for graduate apprentices.
The eligibility for the AAI recruitment depends upon the following criteria mentioned below:
To apply for Graduate and Diploma Apprentice posts in this recruitment. The candidate must have obtained a 4-year full-time degree or a three-year diploma in engineering in the relevant field. Apart from this, to apply for ITI Apprentice posts, one must have obtained an ITI / NCVT certificate in the relevant trade.
Apart from educational qualification, the maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 26 years. Whereas, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and PWD categories will be given relaxation in the upper age as per the government rules. In addition, age will be calculated keeping in mind 31 July 2024.
Candidates, applying for this recruitment will be shortlisted through three steps. The first step of the selection will be done based on their merit. The second step would be the interview/ document verification process. Then a final merit list of the candidates will be released based on the category of the weightage obtained. Candidates will get to know the result through a registered email about interview/ document verification. Most importantly candidates should keep checking their emails from time to time.

In this recruitment, selected candidates for graduate apprentice posts will be given a stipend of ₹15,000 per month and candidates selected for diploma apprentice posts will be given a stipend of ₹ 12,000 per month. Likewise, candidates selected for ITI apprentice posts will be given a stipend of ₹9000 per month.
