Punjab Board Class 12 result 2020: PSEB, Punjab School Education Board has released the PSEB class 12 result 2020 on their official website. The result is now available for students to access at pseb.ac.in. All the students who have appeared in the exam can now follow the steps to check their results given below.
To clear the exam, students had to secure at least 20 per cent marks in practical and 33 per cent in the theory section. A total of 2.9 lakh students have appeared in class 12 examination this year. Due to the pandemic, Coronavirus going and increment in a number of cases in the state of Punjab the exams were postponed. The pending papers were scheduled to be held in July but were cancelled. For the cancelled papers, the evaluation will be done on the basis of the exams conducted already.

The students will get the marks on the basis of the performance on their best three subjects. But now it seems that students are satisfied with their score after the results declared.
Not just exams got postponed and then cancelled but Punjab Board (PSEB) has also changed the passing criteria for evaluating the students.
To check PSEB senior secondary examination result at pseb.ac.in, click on the download ‘result link’. Enter registration number, roll number. The results will appear on the screen. By following these simple steps, students can check their results online.

Students should take the print out for future purposes. And advised to take care of the print out carefully. The print out of marks memo displayed on the screen will act as a provisional mark sheet. The original mark sheet will be disbursed by schools. Since the schools are closed this might take a while. Class 12 mark sheets are critical to get admission to colleges.
With a change in pass percentage and best of three criteria, the pass percentage is expected to go higher this year. In PSEB 12th result 2019, the pass percentage was recorded at 86.41 per cent. The pass percentage of open school candidates was 58.2 per cent in 2019.
Change in the exam pattern:
Punjab board decided to include Multiple Choice Questions ( MCQ) of 10 marks in physics, mathematics, and chemistry for class 12 students. Each of these MCQs would have been for one mark each. As we know that the situation got worse with the corona cases rise in the country day by day so not just PSEB class 12 exams got cancelled but every educational body needs to adjust with their particular exams cancellation so the conclusion to that (decided by the educational bodies) is they introduced the new pattern which will be followed next year too. Several other boards including CBSE, UP Board and others have introduced MCQs in their exam format.
