Ajay Devgn’s Brother Anil Devgan Passes Away: His Untimely Demise Has Left Our Family Heartbroken

Ajay Devgn's brother Anil Devgan is no more.

The creative director from Devgan family died last night. Ajay Devgan’s cousin brother, breathed his last on October 5, 2020. The actor shared the news of his brother’s untimely death on his offical Twitter account.

Brother Ajay Devgn shared his grief on his Twitter handle. He shared the news of his brother’s untimely demise. He with his heavy heart wrote that, I lost my brother Anil Devgan last night.

His untimely demise has left our family heartbroken. ADFF & I will miss his presence dearly. Pray for his soul. Due to the pandemic, we will not have a personal prayer meet. Amid, Coronavirus pandemic, there has been certain restrictions which needs utmost attention. Social gatherings are advised to be avoided and limited number of people are set. On this context, Ajay Devgn shared that due to the deadly novel coronavirus pandemic, a personal prayer meet will not be held.

On Anil Devgan’s workfront, Anil Devgan directed Raju Chacha and Blackmail starring Ajay Devgan. Anil first started off his career as an assistant director with ‘Jeet’ in 1996, Phool Aur Kaante, Jaan, Itihaas, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha. He was the Creative Director of Son Of Sardaar which was released in 2012 starring Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha.

For the uninformed, Anil Devgan was the son of Prem Prakash Devgan and is Ajay Devgan’s cousin brother. As soon as the news of the actor’s brother demise came out, the Bollywood Industry is in shock. Fans and industry colleagues extended condolences. Actor, Abhishek Bachchan, Casting director Mukesh Chhabra mourned the demise of Anil Devgan.

Besides this, Ajay Devgn’s father and stunt director, Veeru Devgn passed away in 2019. On his first death anniversary this year, Ajay had posted, “Dear Dad, it’s a year since you left. However, I can feel you beside me—quiet, caring, protective; your presence is forever reassuring.”

Reportedly, Ajay Devgn will next be seen in Bhuj alongside Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha. The film is expected to release soon on Disney+ Hotstar.
