Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have announced they are expecting and the baby is due in 2021 in their respective Instagram posts.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are soon going to embrace parenthood. In a separate individual post on their respective Instagram accounts, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli announced their pregnancy and said that they are expecting the newcomer to their family in 2021. Flaunting her baby bump, Anushka is seen in a black dress posing along with her husband, Virat Kohli on her latest Instagram picture which she had captioned, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021,”
Following the announcement, there has been quite a lot of response from the film fraternity with the likes of Tapsee Pannu, south Indian actresses, Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Akkineni, Kiara Advani, Kirti Sanon, Alia Bhat and many more. The duo apparently had met during an advertisement shoot back in 2013. They had a tumultuous phase in their relationship before they got married on 11 December 2017.
Coming from different career backgrounds, their relationship was the talk of the tinsel town for years before they tied their knot in a low key event in Italy. Virat Kohli had his fame breakthrough into the Indian cricket team back in 2008 after the Indian Under 19 team had won the World Cup under his captaincy.

A few months later, he was inducted to the national team at the age of 19. Initially, he was being selected mostly replacement of key players when they were injured. While he did contribute with the bat, he still wasn’t being in the spotlight until the emerging players match in Australia where he had impressed the national selectors. Later he rose through the ranks by becoming the fastest Indian to score 1,000 runs in ODI cricket. He was part of the squad of the Indian team which won the World Cup in 2011.
He was appointed the captain of Indian Test team in 2014 after M S Dhoni announced retirement from test cricket while he was also appointed the captain of the Indian ODI team following M S Dhoni stepping down as ODI caption in 2017. Kohli has the highest number of ODI centuries only next to Sachin Tendulkar and has won many awards including the ICC cricketer of the year 2017 and 2018. He has been awarded the Khel Ratna Award in 2018. Kohli is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world and is the only cricketer to feature in Forbes list of highest-paid athletes.

Anushka Sharma is an Indian actress who made her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the highly successful romantic blockbuster, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008. She had her success with films like Band Bajaa Baarat, Jab Tak Hein Jaan, Ae Dil Hein Mushkil and in the popular Aamir Khan Starrer, PK. She has won many Filmfare awards and was also featured in the Indian forbs list of highly paid actresses.
Talking about the experience of their first meet, Kohli had said ‘he had cracked a joke initially because he didn’t know what else to do at that point’ and then opening about the similarities, he had revealed that both of them came from middle-class families and their timeline of the start of their careers was the same year – 2008.
Revealing about their dating experience, he had said that it was quite traditional and just that they knew they wanted to be with each other. Talking about their wedding in Italy in 2017, Kohli had said that it was Anushka who organized everything as he was in the middle of the series.
OF late, Virat Kohli has left to UAE for the IPL while Anushka has been busy with her production lineup for the web-based series and films. The pregnancy announcement has left their fans with a new wave of sensation.
