NTA JEE Mains, NEET To Be Held As Per Schedule: Face Masks, Gloves COMPULSORY

NTA JEE and NEET 2020 exams will be held as scheduled by the examination conducting authority.

NTA JEE Mains, NEET: The students appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which will be held on September 13, and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), to be held from September 1 to 6. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the aspirants will have to compulsorily wear a face mask and hand gloves and also have to carry a water bottle and hand sanitizer to the examination center the location of the center will be shared via link days earlier. The admits card will also have detailed information about how to maintain social distancing.

The guidelines have been issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The entry to examination would be wobbly and the aspirants will also have to undergo thermal scanning for acquiring the access. There will also be the availability of isolation rooms for those candidates whose body temperature is above 99.4-degree Fahrenheit.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made provisions to accommodate the Symptomatic candidates as the provisions sought a self-declaration that candidates do not have COVID-19 like symptoms or suffering from COVID-19 or haven’t been in contact with anybody who has been testing positive recently.

The guidelines issued by the examination conducting agency however do not clarify if the aspirants from the containment zones would be allowed to participate in the examination as they may be asymptomatic but would have recently come in touch with COVID-19 positive person.

After issuing guidelines by NTA today signals that the central government may also plan to conduct the Nationa Entrance Exams for the IITs, and medical courses despite the increase in demands for postpone in wake of Covid-19 restrictions and floods in many states.

As per guidelines issued by NTA to conduct examination safely the reporting time may also be shaky. All this is being done to ensure the distribution of uniform of aspirants across rooms for entering an examination centre,” the guidelines read.
Each candidate is required to wash hands with soap and water before entering the examination hall. However, there will be no availability of water dispensers to avoid spreading the contagion.

During the entry to the examination centre, the candidates will be given a three-ply mask and will be asked trash the old one. About 8.6 lakh candidates will be appearing for JEE (MAIN) which will be conducted between September 1 and 6, While the NEET (UG) will be organized across urban centres for about 15 lac students.
