Paige Spiranac suggested tips when it comes to digital messaging during a discussion on Brooks Laich’s podcast ‘How Men Think with Brooks Laich & Gavin DeGraw.’

“There’s usually a process,” Spiranac began. “So first you have to follow the person and then you like, I would say about three to five pictures, usually in a row so they can see your name pop up and after you do that, normally that person will then DM you and they’ll just be like, ‘Hey, what’s going on?’ But if they don’t do that, then I would normally just say something funny.”

Spiranac, who regularly chronicles details of her personal life on the ‘Playing A Round’ podcast, also said she prefers “funny DMs,” as those catch her attention “a lot.”

She said on the podcast,“I hate when someone will just send, ‘Hey,’ or ‘How are you,’ ‘What’s up.’ I want to laugh, I want to be entertained, I want to have a connection from the very start, to start a conversation,” the 27-year-old continued. “It’s so hard when someone says, ‘Hey.’ What do you say back to that, you know? You can’t do anything.”

Spiranac said she has gotten a kick out of the men who add furniture emojis to their messages, as it’s a clever way to say, “Hey sorry, just moving into your DMs.” The golfer-turned-influencer advises gents to lay off the explicit photos from the get-go.

“I feel like this is pretty self-explanatory, and I feel like guys should just know this, but they really don’t. Do not send a d–k picture as the very first DM you ever send a female, it is never, ever going to work,” Spiranac urged. “Just don’t send a d–k picture. It’s not the move.”

Paige Renee Spiranac is an American social media personality and professional golfer. She played college golf at both the University of Arizona and San Diego State University, winning All-Mountain West Conference honors during the 2012–13 and 2013–14 seasons, and leading the Aztecs to their first Mountain West Conference Championship in 2015.

After initially creating her social media accounts to post trick-shot videos, Spiranac had more than 2 million followers on Instagram by 2018.

Laich, who split from wife Julianne Hough in May after three years of marriage, told Spiranac that while he has never “sent a d–k pic,” he has been on the receiving end. “I get some of those. I get some d–k pics in mine, randomly, I don’t know why, and it’s the most startling … it’s not nice to look at all,” he said.

Spiranac and Laich, 37, agreed, ”Don’t press send on the X-rated snap. Do not do it, you’re better than that,” Laich said.
