CMA Awards: The 55th annual award ceremony of the Country Music Association was conducted on Wednesday. Former American Idol judge, superstar Luke Bryan hosted the big event. This year, the grand award ceremony has showcased many hidden talents and nominated new stars of the country music industry.
The CMA Awards started in 1967 and the following year, the award show was aired on television for the first time. Since then the Country Music Association has been successful in recognizing the best talents in the genre of country music and giving away prestigious awards to artists from all over the world.
The 2021 CMA awards ceremony was distinctly remarkable because two artists of color, Kane Brown and Micky Guyton received their first CMA Awards nominations. It also marks the first time in more than four decades two female solo artists, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood been among the nominees for the top award two years running.

Carly Pearce took home the Female Vocalist of the Year award which remarks her first big win in the music industry. Meanwhile, Eric Chruch and Chris Stapleton entered the ceremony with the most nominations, with five nominations apiece, with Stapleson winning the Male Vocalist of the Year award.
