Twitter trolls claim Ellen DeGeneres lost her life after falling from the roof of her mansion in Los Angeles.

Twitter is abuzz with the death of Ellen DeGeneres and the hashtag #RIPEllen is now trending with several digitally altered pictures claiming the star fell to death from her roof. Just to make things sure, Ellen, is in fact alive and doing well and this is just another internet hoax claiming to take yet another celebrity’s life.

Trolls flooded Twitter with inflammatory captions such as ‘Ellen DeGeneres died by falling of a roof?’ and several others joined the fake news bandwagon by posting doctored images of the star laying dead.

While one user tweeted, “She’s in heaven now. #ripellen :(.” the other posted, “I’m heartbroken. I miss Ellen so much. I know she’s in a better place, but it hurts. I miss you, angel.” Another said, “I found some pictures of Ellen when she was younger. she will forever be missed. #RIPELLEN.”

The others blatantly added fuel to the fire by posting Ellen lookalike pictures with the hashtag #RIPEllen and raised the flames of fake news. To be clear, these tweets are far from being true and it’s astonishing to see that many Twitter users being unaffected by the harsh treatment the talk show host receives.

Also, while The Ellen DeGeneres Show was considered the best talk show in America with a large fanbase, the show lost its sheen after former guests and ex-employees came forward highlighting their pain and suffering while working with the show and branded Ellen to be ”mean and cold” towards most of her employees.

The allegations came as a shock as the 62-year-old comedian always propagated her mantra “be kind to one another” while being filmed, and did the opposite when the cameras were turned off. Since then, the show received poor ratings and reports are doing the rounds that it might be called off if the ratings continue to fall sharply.

However, despite the cancel culture taking predominance in the United States, Ellen DeGeneres net worth has not shaken a bit. According to Celebrity Net Worth, DeGeneres’ worth is estimated at $490 million.
