Party goers in London act as if Coronavirus is longer a threat and threw social distancing norms out of the window just to have a beer.

The lockdown is eased in London and other parts of the United Kingdom but the virus is still out there, but that doesn’t stop party goers to throng the streets of Soho for a beer with friends. A large crowd gathered outside pubs with no social distancing norms or face masks in place sticking close to each other and the images infuriated people who stay home for the safety of themselves and others.

Anna Mylee, the drummer of the rock band Dorja sarcastically took a jibe at the revellers for ”thinking of people” and then lamented them for not ”behaving in a more secure and responsible manner.” She said on Facebook, ”Thank you for thinking of people like me on your night out yesterday. People at moderate risks who have been isolating completely alone for months and are still off work and will be without revenue for about a year if we don’t start behaving in a more secure and responsible manner.”

The drummer revealed that thousands of people who stayed home for their own safety and the well-being of others, now face the risk of another transmission due to the carelessness of a few people who only want to party despite the harrowing condition the world is currently in.

”I am so angry right now. This selfishness and lack of concern is beyond me. Then we see them clap for the NHS and post on social media ‘We are all in this together’ when they have a little mental down during their lockdown. Well, apparently we ARE NOT in this together. Let’s make that clear,” she said.

Rafal Liszewski, a store manager in Soho, voiced his concerns on the swelling crowd who paid no need to safety norms and said that things got out of control post 8 pm, as people started to drink and dance on the streets as if the virus was no longer a threat.

“Quickly everything got out of control and by 8-9 p.m. it was a proper street party with people dancing and drinking. Barely anyone was wearing masks and nobody respected social distancing to be honest with that many people on one street it was physically impossible,” he said.

However, the MET Police confirmed in a statement that majority of Londoners behaved responsibly and stayed indoors while a few thronged London’s Soho making it headlines across the country. As of now, the UK has 285,416 positive cases and the government is on its toes fearing another wave if social distancing is thrown out of the window.
