Rapper Kanye West announced he’s all set to run for the presidential elections in 2020 on July 4th, and in just 10 days, dropped out of the race. As per reports, Kanye hired campaign staff, who planned to push his name into the ballot box as a third front candidate in Florida and several other states. Kanye hired election strategist Steve Kramer to push his presidential bid.

However, Kramer told Intelligencer that ”He is out of the race” and revealed that close to 180 people were hired to bolster his prospects as a serious running contender. ”I will inform you what I am aware of once all of the stuff is nullified. We had 180 of our workers out there today. I have nothing right or wrong to say about west,” he said.

Kramer kept his calm citing he has nothing up against Kanye for withdrawing his presidential bid, adding that the rapper is well within his rights to withdraw. ”Everyone makes their own choices, running for the presidency is an uphill task for someone to envisage at that level,” he said.

Campaign insiders revealed to Intelligencer that Kanye was initiating attempts to get his feet in the ballot as the third party to throw a challenge against President Donald Trump and his Democratic counterpart Joe Biden. As per sources, they were told to reach Florida to assemble the signatures needed to make the ballot in the state on Wednesday, as per the deadline to raise Kayne on the ballot in the Sunshine State, ”we were in the urge to collect 132,781 signatures by July 15.”

Kramer stated that he was of the view that Kanye’s campaign team was working there for a week, formalizing the FEC and other work that they got to do when there are a lot of corporate lawyers involved. He said they received a wonderful backing to get the rapper on the ballot.

West made an announcement on July 4th to run for the presidential chair just four months before the election day. The American rapper and 21 time Grammy award winner celebrated Independence Day had unveiled his intention by tweeting, ‘We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION.”
