His upcoming film gets postponed and will now release next year on Christmas. Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi remake of another Hollywood movie Forrest Gump. Forrest Gump was a commercially and critically acclaimed movie and stands within the race of top ten movies of all the time.
It stars Tom Hanks in the male lead and Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson and Sally Field. The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and was written by Eric Roth. Forrest Gump is based on the 1986 novel of an equivalent name by Winston Groom.
The story depicts several decades within the lifetime of Forrest Gump (Hanks), a slow-witted but kind-hearted man from Alabama who witnesses and unwittingly influences several defining historical events within the 20th century united states. The film differs substantially from the novel.

The film was a huge success at the box office; it became the top-grossing film in America released that year and earned over US$677 million worldwide during its theatrical run, making it the second highest-grossing film of 1994, behind The Lion King.
The soundtrack sold over 12 million copies. Forrest Gump won the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor for Hanks, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, and Best Editing. It received many award nominations, including Golden Globes, British Academy Film Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
