Jodie Comer faces the wrath of online liberal warriors claiming the actress is dating a Trump supporter named James Burke, and accused her boyfriend of making racist and homophobic comments. Calls to ‘cancel’ Jodie grew louder on Twitter and the actress was slammed for being romantically involved with a Republican.
”It appears she’s probably dating some guy called James Burke. A guy called James Burke is also a republican who has made some racist and homophobic comments; and they might be the same person so Jodie Comer is now cancelled.” wrote an angry user.
Jodie who recently showed her support towards the Black Lives Matter moment after George Floyd’s death, is now in the crosschairs of the very same people she supports. A user called her a hypocrite for supporting BLM and simultaneously dating a Republican.
”Jodie Comer after posting the BLM hashtag on her story once and recording a video for pride then going back to her Republican boyfriend,” said a user while another commented, ”Jodie Comer dating a Trump supporter, while she’s portraying an LGBT character and reading poetry as an ‘ally’ is not only wrong but disgusting. Also her posts about BLM now look like performance activism.”
However, Jodie has not responded to the allegations yet and has remained silent despite growing calls to cancel all her movies.
The ‘cancel culture’ is spreading rapidly across the United States and liberals are taking offence to any celebrity supporting Donald Trump or the Republican party. A few months ago, Ellen DeGeneres was slammed by the Twitter mob for simply talking to former President George W. Bush at a baseball match.
In January, actor Vince Vaughn’s handshake with Donald Trump came with a price, as Democrats immediately took to Twitter calling for a boycott of all his movies simply because he shook hands with the President.
