The task of the NGO is to get rid of the debris and keep the water bodies clean within the city. While the organisation is making Ganesha idols since couple of years during the festival, this year, it’s prepared idols with red sands and seeds which will not contaminate the water bodies.

A source said that in the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, people bought Lord Ganesha’s idol paint with enamel colours which are harmful for our ecosystem because it contaminated water and by dissolving in water it becomes dangerous for the fishes.

This year, the NGO made around 1,000 idols with 6 inches to 18 inches. The response they received was sweet. With the govt banning immersion of idols in water bodies, people can purchase these Ganesha idols full of seeds and dissolve them in their gardens or nearby fields.
