1) Ganesha Made with Clay

One of the most commonly found and widely made eco-friendly Ganesha is the one made with clay set. It is made by modelling the clay in Ganpati shape and letting it sit for some time. It is eco-friendly as the visarjan can be done at home in your balcony. Immerse the idol in a bucket and later pour this water into the plants.

2) Ganesha Made out of Chocolate

As the name says chocolate is the key ingredient to create your very own sweet and eco-friendly Ganesha. Just like clay you need to use moulding chocolate to shape your Ganpati idol. Once all the rituals are performed with love you need to give your chocolate Ganesha a dip in warm milk to do the visarjan. Distribute the chocolate milkshake as prasad as the chocolate dissolves completely.

3) Ganesha Made with Fresh Fruits

Banana, apple, oranges, pomegranate, pineapple are some of the most commonly used fruits to shape Lord Ganesha’s idol in an eco-friendly way. Once all the rituals are done Ganpati visarjan can be done in water and these fruits can be distributed as prasad.

One of the most popular eco-friendly Ganesh idols being bought these days is the Ganesha made with soil and hidden seeds. During the visarjan you need to immerse the idol into a pot so that when the soil and clay mixture dissolves, the embedded seeds automatically get planted in the planter.

Alum or fitkari Ganesha idol is one of the best and innovative ways for an eco-friendly Ganesh. Fitkari or aluminium sulphate acts as a water purifier as it easily dissolves in water.
