After Maharashtra, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Delta Plus Variant Found In Rajasthan

A 65-year-old woman from Rajasthan, who recovered from COVID-19 in May and had undergone both doses of vaccination, has tested positive with the variant.

Delta Plus Variant: Cases of COVID 19 has already made the entire nation go berserk. Now, a newly found Delta plus variant, has made the people more worried. After three states- Maharastha-Kerala and Madhya Pradesh,  it’s Rajasthan where the Delta-plus case has been discovered. But what is more shocking is that the variant is being founded in some cases who’ve recovered from COVID 19 and fully vaccinated. A 65-year-old woman from Rajasthan, who recovered from COVID-19 in May and had undergone both doses of vaccination, has tested positive with the variant.

However, the woman has been reported healthy, confirmed government officials.

Bikaner CMHO O.P. Chahar said that special instructions have been issued for tracing in and around the residence of the woman. All those people who tested positive in the area in last one month will be tested again.

Chahar added that this woman has already recovered from the Covid infection.

After being reported of a new variant, Rajasthan has been added in a list of states in the country to register the new virus strain.

According to Bikaner’s PBM Hospital Superintendent Parmendra Sirohi,  informed that the patient’s sample was sent to NIV on May 31 and after 25 days.

The state government has received the reports which were then sent to Bikaner district collector for further action, he added.

After the reported case, Rajasthan government is adamant to take the issue seriously. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that no negligence will be tolerated in services and the new guidelines will ensure properly so that the Delta plus variant should not spread across the state.

According to some reports are saying that a Delta variant is continuously spreading. According to a report, Delta plus has been detected in Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. It is also known as ‘AY.1’ variant or B.1.617.2.1. It is considered the most dangerous variant of Covid-19.

21 cases have been reported of the Delta plus variant, of these, nine were from Jalgaon, seven from Mumbai and one each from Sindhudurg, Thane and Palgarh districts said State health minister Rajesh Tope said on Monday.

The samples collected from Palakkad and Pathanamth districts have detected Delta plus variant. The authorities have taken strict measures in these mentioned areas to stop its further spread, Kerala government officials told news agency

A delta Plus variant was found in a 65-year-old woman from Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal. the patient recovered from Covid-19 and was quarantined. She was also vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine. On May 23 her samples were collected from the National Central for Disease Control (NCDC). On June 16 she stated that she tested positive for the variant.
