Delhi: Police constable found dead at her residence in Palam Vihar

Delhi: A case has been registered in connection with the incident at Palam Vihar police station which is now investigating the case.

Delhi Police Constable found dead

A Delhi Police constable has been found dead in her house under suspicious circumstances. The woman constable has been identified as Preeti. Presently, Preeti was posted to the 3rd Battalion of Delhi Police. Police have taken the body and sent it for postmortem. At the same time, Palam Vihar police station has started its investigation by registering a case in connection with the incident.

According to sources, the woman constable Preeti used to live in Manglapuri area under Palam Vihar police station area. On Wednesday afternoon, the police control room got information that the dead body of the woman is lying in a dead condition in a house in Mangalavapur. As soon as the information was received, a team of police reached the spot. During the investigation, the woman was found dead. Through the police uniform and I-card present in the house, it was found that the deceased is posted as a constable in Delhi Police.

Soon after getting the information about this incident, Delhi Police top officials also reached the spot. After an inspection, the body has been sent for postmortem. It is being told that last time she was seen with a boy. The police are now searching for that boy. Police have taken footage of all CCTV cameras installed in the area to identify this young man. A team of Delhi Police is looking into CCTV footage.

The police have started screening the call details of the deceased. Along with this, police are trying to get some clues by interacting with colleagues posted in the 3rd Battalion with the women constable. The woman constable was posted in Tihar jail. Therefore, the police are also investigating from that angle.
